Collection: Original paintings by Orkney artist Jane Glue

All of my original paintings come direct to you from my studio and are created using various mixed media techniques from watercolours, acrylic paint, collage and 'found' items from beach combing along Orkney's shoreline. I often use a multi layered technique, building up the surface with layers of collage, paint and subtle memories. My paintings consist of many different subjects such as the Orkney landscape, beaches, coastline, cottage ruins and wild birds, sometimes painted in a traditional way with watercolours but more lately painted in a more abstract and expressive style using mixed media materials.

Many of my original paintings are framed professionally at Orkney Photographic for same day processing and printing, wedding, portrait, news and sports photography in Kirkwall and have been especially chosen to match each original painting.
