An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue

This painting is based on the beautiful rockpools that you see when you meander along  the path towards The Brough of Birsay, one of my all time favourite places. I have added 'found' coral, sea glass, driftwood, old pottery and shells found on the shoreline into this image which is painted using a mixture of watercolours, collage and oil crayons on to a heavy watercolour rag board. Zoom into the picture to see all the wonderful detail in this painting!

The actual image size of the watercolour board is 400X300mm, the watercolour painting board is 'float' mounted  on to a cream mountboard. The overall size glazed and framed is 510X395mm, this size includes a white wood box moulding, 45mm deep and 30mm wide.  The painting is signed and titled on the front of the image.
