Limited edition print/For the green shutters fall

A limited edition print from an original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in editions of 100 prints.

I love this turquiose green colour of the sea, you often see it in Orkney on a bright sunlit day. Even though this day was sunny, it was still windy, a common occurence here in Orkney! This image is at The Brough of Birsay where you can often see these huge rollers coming in or white horses as we call them.  I have used a mixture of my own collage and acrylic paint with a we bit of added text from a poem by Orkney poet Edwin Rendall. 'The green shutters' are what Edwin calls the huge waves.
