Limited edition print/Dark sunset at the ring of brodgar

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in run's of 100 prints of each size.

I have used a watercolour technique called 'wet on wet' to create the sky in this painting of The Ring of Brodgar at sunset. The paper is first brushed or sponged lightly with water and  wet paint with colour is dropped into the wet surface. I have also added some salt into the wet paint of the foreground to create some texture below the stones.
