Limited edition print/The hoy hills with Clestrain in the snow

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt in print run's of 100 of each size.

 This picture features the house of Clestrain standing on the shoreline in Stenness where Orkney's famous arctic explorer, Dr John Rae was born. John Rae also discovered the fate of Sir John Franklins voyage to discover the Northwest passage in Canada. There are plans in the future to make the house into a museum about Dr John Rae and his achievements. In the background there are The Hoy Hills covered in snow. I dropped salt into the wet paint of the sky to give a 'snowy' affect!
