Original painting framed/Gannets and cliffs, Westray

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue

This painting was created with acrylic paint, watercolours, collage, ink and gesso medium which gives the image a lovely texture. There is a large colony of gannets at Noup head in Westray where this image was painted, I usually visit the colony each year. The scenery was spectacular on this day and the 'sounds' of the bird colony and the sea sent shivers up my spine! I also really like the bright white plumage of the gannets against the dark colours of the cliff.

The painting is framed and glazed in a 50mm wide pine moulding, with an 80mm wide ivory mount. The overall size is 800X620mm. It is titled and signed at the bottom of the painting.
