Limited edition print/Terns diving in the early morning

A limited edition print from an original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in editions of 100 prints.

These terns are part of the colony that nests near The Whale bone, North Birsay each summer. I love the way they duck and dive glinting bright white in the sunlight. This picture was painted using mixed media of my own photographs/collage, acrylics and cold wax. I have also added in we bits of text among the cliff and seapinks at the bottom of the image.
