About Jane Glue
Orkney artist Jane Glue was born in Orkney in 1958, Jane is Judith Glue 's twin sister. Jane has worked as a professional artist since returning from Art college in London in 1985.
For many years Jane concentrated on painting with watercolours, her favourite subjects are the Orkney Landscape, seascape, history, birds and flora. Particularly The Ring of Brodgar and Orkney's favourite bird the puffin. While I still love and paint in watercolour, in more recent years I have focused on the same subjects but in a more abstract and expressive style and painting with acrylics, collage and other mixed media including 'found' objects from the Orkney shoreline such as shells, driftwood, sea glass and pottery. I often use a multi layered approach building up an image as I work. In 2019 I launched Orkney artist Jane Glue prints – www.janeglue.com which has a large selection of limited edition prints, Collections – www.janeglue.com and other Cards and Gifts – www.janeglue.com along with a range of Original watercolour and mixed media artwork by artist Jane Glue – www.janeglue.com for sale.
